All registered Harvard Students are automatically enrolled in the Harvard University Student Health Program and the cost of the program is applied to their term bills. Extension School students must contact their school for eligibility and enrollment information.
Post-doctoral affiliates (also known as post-doctoral fellows) are eligible to enroll in the Harvard University Student Health Program as long as they have a current appointment, were recently awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field, and are not eligible for employer-sponsored health insurance.
Dependents are eligible to enroll in the Harvard University Student Health Program when the student or Post-doc affiliate participates in both the Student Health Fee and the Student Health Insurance Plan. Dependent children up to age 26 (married and unmarried) are eligible to enroll as dependents. Affiliates and their dependents must enroll each academic year or term; it is not automatic.
