The Harvard University Student Health Program (HUSHP) is made up of two parts: the Student Health Fee (SHF) and the Student Health Insurance Plan administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (BCBS PPO).

Provider Type	SHF Services must be obtained at one of the HUHS clinics. Most services are covered at no costs.	BCBS PPO Provider Services with a BCBS PPO provider will have lower out-of-pocket costs. In-network.	Non-BCBS PPO Provider Services with an out-of-network provider will have higher out-of-pocket costs. Out-of-network.

Note: You do not need a referral to see a mental health provider.

Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Providers

Visit the Blue Cross Blue Shield website to search for a provider by name, specialty, or location. Select PPO/EPO from the network drop-down (for in-network benefits). Be aware that you will have higher out-of-pocket costs if you choose to see an out-of-network provider and/or when you receive ancillary services (such as labs or durable medical equipment) from an in-network provider. Those services may be billed at the out-of-network benefit level if the ordering provider and the provider rendering care are located in different states.
