Updating Waived Insurance

When your non-Harvard insurance changes during the course of the academic year, we ask you to update your information on the Student Insurance Portal.

  • Log into the Student Insurance Portal with your Harvard Key
  • Select “Waive Coverage”
  • Select “Student Health Insurance Plan”
  • Click the “Update Information” link
  • Select “I Have a New Insurance Company”

Once the updates have been made, we will process your submission in five to seven business days.

Remember that your new insurance plan must meet all waiver requirements. Be sure to review the waiver checklist before you update your information on the Student Insurance Portal.
