Understanding My Health Coverage at Harvard
Student
Health Fee
This mandatory fee allows all Harvard Students access to almost all care at Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) for no additional cost. HUHS offers an array of services, including primary care, urgent care, mental health, and other specialty services.

Student Health
Insurance Plan
Healthcare services outside of HUHS can be expensive. The Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) helps reduce your costs to more affordable amounts. The plan works nationwide and abroad and provides coverage for major services like surgeries, emergency care, prescriptions, specialty care, and more.

Harvard University
Student Health Program
The Harvard University Student Health Program (HUSHP) represents the two parts working together (SHF + SHIP) to provide comprehensive health care coverage. This program ensures that students have access to comprehensive medical care on and away from campus.
