Quick Resources
Harvard University Health Program (HUSHP)
All Harvard students are automatically enrolled in HUSHP, and charges are applied to your student bill.
To opt-out of coverage, you must complete an online waiver by the deadline (fall: 7/31).
Coverage is effective as of August 1.
HUSHP has two parts that work together:
- The Student Health Fee (SHF) covers most office visits at the Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) clinics, even if you waive the Student Health Insurance Plan.
- Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. This plan–which includes a prescription drug benefit– provides coverage throughout the United States and abroad.
