HUSHP is the Harvard University Student Health Program. Our Member Services office is excited to share an educational video highlighting HUSHP and how it works. To improve the student experience, we designed this video as a quick educational introduction to HUSHP. The video is a little over 3 minutes long. The video, using narrative structure and animation, helps explain how the program works, provides information about the Student Health Fee and Student Health Insurance Plan, addresses differences between the Student Health Fee and the Student Health Insurance Plan, and lists an overview of the benefits, services, and resources available to students under each.

Learn About Your Health Care Coverage. Discover the difference between the Harvard University Student Health Fee and your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), and how they work together to combine comprehensive medical care. This 7-page benefit summary provides a high-level overview of your medical and prescription drug benefits in one document.

This handbook serves as a guide for your benefits, enrollment deadlines, certain policies, and other important information when enrolled in HUSHP while at Harvard.

This is the Schedule of Benefits that is a part of your Subscriber Certificate when enrolled In SHIP through BCBSMA. This schedule of benefits and description describes the cost share amounts that you will have to pay for covered services. It also shows the benefit limits that apply for covered services, as well as any limitations and exclusions. Be sure to read all parts of your Subscriber Certificate to understand the requirements you must follow to receive all of your coverage.

In addition to accessing your digital ID card, the MyBlue App provides you with the ability to review claims and keep track of your medications.

The Summary of Health Plan Payments breaks down payments for medical services you’ve received outside of HUHS when enrolled in SHIP. You’ll get this statement if there’s a balance remaining after BCBSMA processes the claim and pays its share of the costs. This statement is not a bill. If you owe money, your provider will send you a bill directly.
