Getting Started
- Create a MyBlue account at bluecrossma.org if you don’t already have one. All refills for mail-order prescriptions can be requested through the Blue Cross Blue Shield website.
- Notify the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy when you are ready for your next refill. You can request your refill online through the Blue Cross Blue Shield website or by phone. Be sure to request a refill before your prescription runs out.
Online instructions:
- Sign in to your MyBlue account at bluecrossma.org:
- Select the “My Medication” tab from the menu or at the bottom of your phone
- Select “Pharmacy Programs”
- Click continue on the pop-up message stating “You are now leaving the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts site” pop-up window
- You will be redirected to the Pharmacy Programs website

Online: Sign in to MyBlue at bluecrossma.org. Click Pharmacy Benefit Manager under My Medications, then go to the Prescriptions tab. Click View/Refill All Prescriptions. Follow the prompts there to order a refill.
Payment: With the new CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy, you will need to add a payment to cover the cost of your copayments.
Phone: Call CVS Customer Care at 1-877-817-0477 (TTY: 711).
When refilling your prescriptions, you’ll be prompted to add your billing information. Your preferences for automatic refills will not be transferred to CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy.

My doctor requested a brand-name medication. Why did my order contain a generic version?
If the brand-name medication that was prescribed by your doctor wasn’t designated brand-name only and has a preferred generic equivalent, CVS Caremark will automatically dispense the generic version. If your medication was designated as brand-name only and you received the generic equivalent instead, it’s because CVS Caremark contacted your doctor and received your doctor’s permission to dispense the preferred generic equivalent.
Why isn’t my medication available through mail order?
Certain medications that require immediate administration or are used for short periods of time aren’t available through mail order. Controlled substances also cannot be filled through mail order. In addition, some specialty medications are only available through specialty pharmacies.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
Standard shipping is included. You can get next-day or two-day shipping for an extra fee.
Will someone need to sign for the package?
Signatures are required for certain controlled substances, narcotics, or high-cost medications. You can opt to request signature required for packages by calling CVS Customer Care at 1-877-817-0477 (TTY: 711).

Where can I fill my specialty medication?
Student Health Insurance Plan members will need to fill specialty medications through Accredo, CVS Specialty, or AcariaHealth. To get started, contact Accredo at (800) 803-2523. The specialty pharmacy will work with you to create an account and get your prescription transferred for you.
